Sessioneer is an iPad app for Irish trad session players. It is designed to work without an internet connection. We don’t run servers and we don’t collect, store, or transmit personal information from a Sessioneer-operated backend, because there isn’t one.

What stays on your device

The app stores the following on your iPad:

  • Tunes you’ve marked as favorites
  • Tunes and sets you’ve recently viewed
  • Sets you’ve created
  • Personal transitions between tunes (which tune you tend to play after which)
  • Your default key/setting choices per tune

What syncs across your own devices

If you have iCloud Drive enabled and signed in, your Sessioneer data syncs across the devices that share your Apple ID. This sync is handled by Apple’s CloudKit. We have no access to it. See Apple’s Privacy Policy for how Apple handles iCloud data.

Subscriptions

Sessioneer offers in-app subscriptions through Apple’s StoreKit. Apple processes the purchase, your billing details, and your subscription state. The app sees only an anonymous subscription status used to show or hide sponsorship messaging. We do not see your name, email, or payment information. Tune content

Tune information is bundled with the app as a static, read-only database derived from The Session, made available under the Open Database License. It is the same for every user, is not personalised, and is not transmitted anywhere by the app.

Third parties

Sessioneer does not include analytics SDKs, tracking pixels, advertising frameworks, or any other third-party SDKs that collect data about you.

Children

Sessioneer does not knowingly collect data from anyone, of any age.

Changes

We may update this policy as the app evolves. Changes are tracked in the site repository.
